Very nice hotel for vacation. Rooms are clean and cosy with enough space. We had a balcony with the pool view. It was a bit noisy in the evening before the hotel party program finished so I don’t recommend this room view for families with little kids. Food was excellent!!! Every single day, we had so many options to pick from. Beach is just 2 minutes away by walk. We spent zero time at the pool, just went to the beach. Unfortunately, you have to wake up early to make sure you will get sunbeds on the beach because it’s too crowded.
To begin with it is absolutely not a 4 star hotel. The room we got was a disaster, old broken furniture, ugly old bathroom.
We even had black mold on the pillows. They also took additional charges for WIFi, safe-deposit box, beach towels etc. It was like we traveled 20 years back in time. Rude and nonchalant workers in the reception. The location is good, it’s near the beach and centrum, that saved our vacation.
We got the older hotel room but it was clean, the ac was working and the towels were changed on a daily basis. Not sure if the rooms were worthy of the 4 stars which the hotel has. We didn't really have a problem with the rooms as we were outside most of the time. The food was very good. There are plenty of options and every day a different cuisine is featured. The servers are very hard-working, so a big shout-out to them. The hotel is really close to the beach (about 3 minutes of walking).
I didn't give the hotel 5 stars because of two things: you have to pay a deposit fee for the beach towels and than change them as you wish at the hotel bar. The problem with this is that if you choose to change the towels in the evening, there are simply none left, so you are left stuck with the dirty ones (the servers said that we should come at 10am, when they open, but we were already at the beach by then). Also, an all-inclusive package should include easily accessible drinking water. You had to go to the bar for a bottle refill but the bar staff was always left annoyed because it was holding up the queue. Can't blame them really. We chose to buy our own water from the local store for a couple of euros.
We had a good experience overall and were happy with the hotel.
I would honestly avoid this place. There are much nicer places in Protaras. Three things in particular annoyed me. 1) Late check out - despite asking for it the day after I arrived they have said that they can't confirm it until the day that I depart. This means that I am completely incapable of planning my last day. Unacceptable. 2) Food is bad. 3) No free WiFi . Again at a four star European hotel this should come as standard now.
This is a difficult place
- staff at the reception pretty harsh; lied to my face multiple times.
- staff at restaurant very fast but often scared at most basic questions like if you order water
- housekeeping ignorant of do not disturb sign
- room was dirty with hair etc in the bathroom
- shower doesn’t have a door and only an over head shower so difficult if you want to not flood the entire room or wash your legs etc.
- pillows were flat as …
- tv was very tiny
- blow dryer had the wire mounted to the wall ?!
- no water in room
- do not disturb sign had to be extra requested at reception
Food at the buffet is focused heavily on British customers. Every day.
Lunch and dinner have for kids every day the same food biggest and fries.
Food varies day by day and is again very focused on British faste. Variety is alright and salads are available as well as desserts. It isn’t wow but I wouldn’t call it bad either.
Booked a superior room so room was renovated and well spaced. Tv very tiny.
Noise from opposite side hotels makes your room shake till midnight.
Wifi is a joke - expect to pay for it; for max two devices 10€ per day and get only 1 MB or less. Tried to send pictures of the day to my travel companion and took per picture more than 10 min. Gave up after a day and waiting till we were at outside Restaurants to eat and use their wifi.
Pool gets occupied with towels very early on; around 6-7 am.
Parkin is ample available.
Close walk to the beach.
Hotel and spa area look like from a horror movie; and like they’ve not been touched since the 80s. Smells terrible down there as well and was just scary.
On their second building a lot of African staff usually lounges - guys holding their hands on top of their private parts felt vulgar at times.
And for booking.com customers had to actually fight with the hotel and through booking.com to get the free safety deposit box in room. Hotel couldn’t care less; lied to my face and ignored that others eg Jet2 also get it for free.
Good thing is if you have half board can swap lunch and dinner as you please by letting reception know kn a daily basis.
Would I stay again? No. Would I recommend this place? No. Was it totally terrible? No either.
So after booking our first family holiday, we quickly regretted picking the odessa hotel.
Finding blood (not ours) on the bed sheets and having to report it 5 times within 24h blew me away.
Ants in our room, safe deposit box broken, sliding patio door jammed and dangerous cupboard doors were aggravating but the fact that i struggled to book a restaurant on our all inclusive package for the first night was a joke, the front of house staff did next to nothing to help!
I asked the reception to change the blood on the bed sheets 5 times in one day and was lied to each and every time and told they where done, after a final argument with Eleni after showing the photo as proof at 11pm who was trying not to laugh at me finally sent someone to change them. But i ended up making mine and my sons beds up? Disgraceful.
Regarding the restaurant, i emailed in advance to book a table for each night and after being told by Koulla they can not pre book? To asking nikolas at the reception to find us something for our first night and being told he can not book anything for us??? Poor and pointless front of house. Then trying to get a table at the EMPTY in house sofa sofa restaurant and being told they had no room blew me away at 7pm.
So we ended up eating out on the first night at a restaurant on the strip after failing to eat and use our all inclusive package at our hotel, how great is that
From someone who has premier all inclusive and cant get food outside of the buffet room. I will never want to come back here again and will continue to dine outside of the hotel. From an upset family in room 037.
Hotel is old but in good condition. For me in some things not 4 star. Rooms are small, not enough place for storage things. They are selling it for 3 person too, but it is same room so it's small and you get only short Stretcher for third person (problem for my son 15 years old ) . Employees are nice. Food: breakfast same each day - English style, lunch is simple but enough, dinner thematic and good. So food is not perfect, but I was satisfied. We didn't use pool too much chlore and opened only 9-18 so morning swimming was available only in the see. The see (warm and clean) is 250 m from hotel, nice big beach but full of people. Problem is loudy Latino music from morning to midnight or longer, boring animation program.
Great stay, very welcoming & most helpful, loads of choices menu wise. Rooms well laid out, kettle, fridge, brew makinds too. Daily cleaning well done, towels etc changed. Some of plug / light sockets loose, some marking here n there, however all in all Very happy all round.
